Miguel Van Damme (September 25, 1993 – March 29, 2022) was a Belgian goalkeeper known for his career at Cercle Brugge, where he joined after starting at KSK Maldegem. Van Damme debuted in the Jupiler Pro League in 2014 and later became the club’s first-choice goalkeeper in the second division. Diagnosed with leukemia in 2016, he showed resilience despite multiple relapses and continued to inspire until his passing in 2022. He was remembered with tributes, including from Cercle Brugge and the Belgian national team.
