The story of REAL TEC began in 1993, when Benny Vanhaeren introduced a German goalkeeper glove brand to Belgium from his family’s sports store in Tongeren. What started as a passion for goalkeeper gloves soon became a lifelong mission. In 1998, Benny and his wife Sabine took full ownership of REAL TEC. Without massive marketing budgets or international sponsorship deals, they built the brand around one simple belief:
The best goalkeeper gloves are created by listening to the goalkeepers who wear them.
That philosophy turned REAL into a respected name in Belgian goalkeeping. From promising young talents to international stars, generations of goalkeepers have trusted REAL to deliver when it matters most.

With Seppe Brulmans, Simon Wagner and Thibaut Courtois leading the way, REAL is entering a new era with a clear ambition: transforming a respected Belgian brand into a global name in goalkeeping.
And the story comes full circle.
As a young goalkeeper at KRC Genk, Thibaut Courtois already wore REAL gloves. Today, one of the world's best goalkeepers has returned to the brand where his journey began — not only as an athlete, but also as a co-owner.
Alongside Courtois, top goalkeepers such as Senne Lammens, Mike Penders and Matz Sels proudly represent REAL on some of football's biggest stages, from the Premier League to the UEFA Champions League.
