Jo Coppens is a Belgian professional goalkeeper, born on December 21, 1990, in Heusden-Zolder, Belgium. Known for his agility and experience, he has played across multiple European leagues. Coppens began his career at KRC Genk before signing with Cercle Brugge in 2008, where he made his professional debut. He later played for MVV Maastricht, KSV Roeselare, and FC Carl Zeiss Jena in Germany. His journey continued through Lillestrøm SK in Norway, and MSV Duisburg in Germany.
In 2022, Coppens returned to Belgium to join STVV. His solid performances and leadership in goal have been instrumental for the team. Throughout his career, he has been praised for his shot-stopping skills, ability to read the game, and reliable presence in the penalty area
